PowerScripts Updates

PowerScripts Loader L10.1.8

Released 2026-10-10 · The loader installs, updates and starts PowerScripts.

The installer can turn off PowerScripts 3.7, so only the new PowerScripts starts (you can turn it back on from the installer's Tools tab)

Every PowerScripts update is checked to make sure it really comes from O2 Creative before it is installed
The panel tab is called PowerScripts 2026
The installer shows exactly where to find PowerScripts after installing
More messages are translated, and the installer's notes are easier to read
The installer explains what to do with an old PowerScripts panel left in your workspace
Clearer messages when an older version was installed for all users and needs IT to remove it
Installer text that isn't translated yet is shown in English
The loader has its own version number (L10), so it's never confused with the PowerScripts version
The panel is called PowerScripts 2026 Loader in Window > Extensions
A clear message when no version is available to install yet
Installing and switching versions is safer - a damaged download never replaces a working version
Old copies left behind by updates are tidied up automatically
Restart and Choose Version always return to the right place

Installing on a new Mac (or a computer that never had an Adobe extension) said it couldn't find the Adobe Extension Folder
After updating, PowerScripts now starts the new version instead of the previous one
Dropping a file onto the panel by accident no longer replaces it with that file
Version numbers now show correctly in every language
Turning PowerScripts 3.7 off and back on again from the installer
An error message after updating, and PowerScripts wrongly saying it failed to start
The version list shows what changed in each version
PowerScripts no longer asks you to choose a version after every start

Requires Illustrator 2021 or newer

Usually not needed: PowerScripts updates itself from the panel menu (Update PowerScripts).

Download the installer (L10.1.11)
Drag the downloaded .jsx file onto Illustrator, or use File > Scripts > Other Script…
Click Install, restart Illustrator, then open Window > Extensions > PowerScripts.
